Delta Delta Delta’s Theta Alpha Chapter at the University of Washington conducted a successful sorority fundraising campaign for house renovation and expansion. Their goal is to bring the chapter into the 21st Century. The project was split into two phases so the board could manage both the financial and logistical aspects wisely. The chapter also strives to be listed on the historical landmark registry.
Phase 1 Renovation

Installed fire sprinkler safety system

Renovated bedrooms with new radiators, lighting, electrical wiring, paint, carpet, and furnishings

Refurbished downstairs study areas with new furniture, lighting, and carpet

Addressed plumbing issues, replaced the hot water circulating line, and installed a high pressure booster system.
Phase 2 Renovation

Developed a new addition with 4 bedrooms and 16 beds for sleep/study areas

Installed an elevator that makes a majority of the building accessible, including the basement

Replaced the boilers

Addressed seismic stability safety requirements

Provided window wells in library for improved lighting
